What is SakeYō?
SakeYō is a companion app for people who love sake. It learns your palate from a short taste-profile quiz, then recommends bottles matched to your taste, helps you pair sake with food, keeps a tasting diary and cellar, and surfaces sake events and places to drink across Singapore and Japan.
How do recommendations work?
When you first sign in, you take a short taste-profile quiz. SakeYō uses your answers — and the sakes you rate and log over time — to score each bottle for how well it fits your taste. The more you log, the sharper your profile becomes. You can retake the quiz anytime from your profile.
Do I need an account?
Yes. An account lets SakeYō save your taste profile, diary, cellar and saved events across sessions. You can create one with your email address from the sign-up screen.
How do I reset my password?
On the sign-in screen, tap
Forgot password and enter your account email. We'll send a link to reset it. If the email doesn't arrive, check your spam folder or write to
support@sakesho.app.
How do I add or edit a diary entry?
Open the Diary and tap to add a new entry. You can record the sake name, brewery, date, serving temperature, vessel, tasting notes, food pairings, a photo and a 1–5 star rating. Tap any existing entry to view it in full, then edit or delete it from there.
How do I delete my account and my data?
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. Email
support@sakesho.app from your account email address with the subject "Delete my account". We will permanently remove your profile, diary, cellar and saved data within 30 days and confirm by email.
Which devices are supported?
SakeYō runs on iPhone and iPad. We recommend keeping iOS up to date for the best experience.
Is SakeYō only for Singapore and Japan?
You can use the diary, cellar, pairing, recommendations and learning features anywhere. The events calendar and the curated places to drink currently focus on Singapore and Japan, with more regions to come.
